Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are giving major couple goals with their summer plans.
The pair are set to spend the summer on the road together as Wilson heads out on her Sound of a Woman concert tour across the United States.
Speaking to People Magazine at the premiere of the new Broadway show Celebrity Autobiography on Monday, Hanks said, “I’m proud. I’m entertained. I gasp. And often I’m left at home while she gets up and takes care of business.”
However, Wilson talked about summer plans, saying, “He keeps coming in and out when I’m on tour, so we see each other then.”
And when asked about upcoming tour plans, Hanks asked, “Are we?” He added, “Okay. I just do what I’m told.”
He said, “He’s on tour; when he’s on tour, I’m not working.”
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson met on the set of Bosom Buddies in 1981. But, they later reunited and made their relationship public in 1996. After this the couple got married in 1988.
Earlier, while talking about their marriage, Wilson had said that the most important foundation of their relationship is the shared bathroom. “This is where you download everything,” she said.
Wilson said, “That’s where you download all day long. You laugh at what you’re doing. In the morning, you think, ‘What are you doing today? Where will you be? Great, I want you there.'”
Furthermore, he also said that he should “never go crazy.”
“I heard it at first, and I thought, ‘This is really cool.’ You don’t want to wake up in the morning and feel that lingering feeling. So whatever it is, figure it out before you go to bed,” Wilson said.
