King Charles’ latest visit has eased relations between the US and Britain.
Her Majesty, who has used her soft power skills to charm President Donald Trump, has worked in Britain’s favor behind the scenes.
Speaking about Her Majesty’s hugely successful visit, royal expert Emily Ferguson told Express’s authority: “If the early signs are anything to go by, those watching anxiously at home should be quietly optimistic that the King will be able to repair the extremely strained special relationship – but for how long? The President couldn’t have looked happier to be reunited with the King on the White House lawn.
Speaking about Trump’s praise for Her Majesty, the expert said: “It was quite high praise given the President’s disparaging comments about the British Prime Minister and the British military in recent months. But just two days into the King’s most diplomatically sensitive state visit to date, it appears Mr Trump has softened his stance towards
UK.
He added, “And the warmth the President has for the monarch was clearly shared by members of the House and Senate, who stood from their seats to applaud the king during his address.”
