During his recent visit to Bermuda, King Charles highlighted the important work of the Royal Bermuda Regiment Coast Guard.
Buckingham Palace posted a video clip of King Charles’ visit via the royal family’s official Instagram handle.
In a caption on Charles’s behalf, the palace praised the “lifesaving work”, writing: “It is wonderful to see the lifesaving work of the Royal Bermuda Regiment Coast Guard.”
It added, “Having recently established a secondary base on St. David’s Island, The King has officially opened the new facility, which will complement the existing headquarters on the western side of Bermuda.”
“Yesterday, Her Majesty saw the service in action to provide safety of life at sea and combat illegal fishing and trafficking,” the post concluded.
The video showed Charles enjoying a front row view of Bermuda’s stunning beauty. The monarch also greeted the executive committee of the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club, where he serves as patron, during his visit.
This comes after King Charles and Queen Camilla concluded their four-day state visit to the US on Thursday.
