A knifeman who allegedly slit a woman’s throat in a deadly attack in broad daylight has been seen wandering the streets of Barcelona after being stabbed.

The suspected killer, who was wearing jeans and a hoodie and carrying a large black rucksack, was arrested around noon in the Les Corts neighborhood.
Police Efforts are still being established to establish whether the attacker knew his victim – whose age and nationality are yet to be revealed.
Police confirmed that there was no romantic relationship between the two, and are working on the theory that it was a case of random stabbing.

The woman has been described in local media as “young” and of Asian descent.
The report said he was stabbed in the neck, chest and stomach.
A man in his 50s was also injured – suffering wounds to his arm – while trying to intervene in the attack.
The brutal stabbing took place around 11 am on Saturday morning in a residential area near Sant John Deu Hospital.
Witnesses said that a man had waved a large knife in the middle of Joan Miró street before the massacre – showing “signs of panic”.
He is accused of stabbing the victim multiple times and slitting her throat before fleeing the scene.
Horrified spectators called emergency services when they saw blood on the road.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene but could do nothing to save the woman.
Esplugas de Llobregat Town Hall said: “We deeply regret the violent death of a man in the town and express our condolences to his family and loved ones.
“The Council condemns all forms of violence and expresses its concern at these serious incidents, which impact community life and public safety.
“The alleged culprit has already been arrested by the Mossos de Esquadra regional police force.
“From the beginning, the Council has been coordinating with the Mossos d’Esquadra, which is the leading force. Investigationand Asplugs local police, and is offering all necessary institutional support to help clarify the facts.
He also said that two days of official mourning had begun.
