Princess Diana changed the dynamics of the royal family after her marriage to King Charles.
The former Princess of Wales, who died in 1997, took the post to the Royals to be more modern with her practical approach to things.
Speaking with Woman & Home, correspondent Emily Andrews believes Diana “forced” the royals to change
Speaking on the Catching Up with the Royals podcast, the expert called Diana “the second most important person in the game” and said she “completely changed the way we look at royalty.”
Princess Diana “lived her private life in public – or at least it seemed so”.
He said, “She was talked about publicly as a very hands-on mother, which I think was true – I don’t think she was faking it, it seemed very authentic – taking them on the Tube, fairground rides, holidays, hands-on parenting was very different from the care the royals had received before.”
Emily reflected: “I think it has, perhaps, forced the royals to become more practical with the general public, so to speak.”
