Jason Derulo has finally revealed how fatherhood has completely changed him.
The 36-year-old singer — who has a son, Jason King Derulo, with his ex-girlfriend, Jenna Frumes — told Hello magazine, “My life is no longer a solo, selfish endeavor.”
“Before having a son, everything was about me, like: ‘How can I get to the next level? How can I make more money? How can I be more successful? How can I help my family?’ He continued.
Jason continued, “Now it’s like: ‘How do I make sure my son has the best values? How do I make sure my son has the best opportunities?'”
When asked how he balances fatherhood with his career glad you came The hitmaker replied, “It’s a tough balance. It takes a lot of sacrifice. But it’s important to strike the right balance. I believe it’s important for your kids to see you working hard.”
She added, “I had this attitude that I needed to try to be there all the time. But I think part of being a great parent is letting your kids see you work and see you work hard and make sacrifices.”
