It’s the first Monday in May, which means we couldn’t be more excited to sit on the couch and watch our annual sweatpants-and-critic-celebrities-meet-gala-look parties. Held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to celebrate and fund the new 2026 Costume Art Exhibition (with a big focus on diverse body types), celebrities and their designers first gather on the red carpet (this time a beige brick with pops of grassy green) to show off their most extravagant looks since awards season. And this year, the dress code is “Fashion is Art.” This is open to a lot of interpretations, but we’re predicting a series of Picasso and Monet walks.
