Hey friends! Friday is here! How are you holding up? did you have a good week? a madman? The May mayhem is definitely in full swing here and various school events and activities are popping up left and right. A particularly beautiful event? Muffins for mom at Rhett’s preschool!
I think they’ve fixed it with these answers. I definitely love ice cream, sleepovers, hugs, and “I love yous.”
Today I’m going to the older kids’ school for the end of the year picnic with Chase and then the weekend begins! To all the moms, grandmothers, and mothers out there, I hope you have an especially amazing weekend! Now let’s dive into this week’s favorite roundup, shall we?
Things I Love on Friday

cans of birthday card + thank you card
My mother was the queen of always having cards with her for various occasions. If we ever needed a last-minute birthday card for a birthday party or a “thinking of you” card to give to someone going through a challenging situation, my mom would pull out her stash and we would go “shopping” from her stash of cards. I have started doing the same thing because often we forget that we need the card until the last second. I recently ordered this birthday card box And have been very impressed. They are all simple but beautiful and higher quality than other wholesale birthday cards I have seen out there. I also ordered this huge box thank you cards from amazon For the last year I have still been loving and doing things in my own way. All hail the little shortcuts that seem to make life a little easier!
I know I raved about it Aloha Bar For years, but there’s a lot I love about these bars, from their clean ingredient list to their protein and high fiber (10 grams!) content. They are also very popular outside the home as every member of our family eats one almost every day. Needless to say, we go through a lot of these bars!!! Over the holiday season, I ordered a large number of boxes of White Chocolate Peppermint Aloha Bars (my absolute favorite flavor) and I’m happy to report that we still have a few boxes left. However, I know my stockpile won’t last forever and I have some other favorite flavors in my ALOHA arsenal. And now there’s a new one (for me)!! Chocolate Cherry!!! Hot dang, this flavor blows me away! If you are someone who loves dark chocolate and tart cherry flavour, then add this to your must-try list. This has major dessert qualities and has instantly earned a spot in my ALOHA top three: 1. White Chocolate Peppermint 2. Oatmeal Chocolate Chip 3. Chocolate Cherry. Yam. Also, for anyone hoping to try an ALOHA bar, my link You should be able to get a 20% discount, but I think the discount may only apply to first-time customers. Worth a shot though!!

Recent ALDI Discoveries
Fellow ALDI lovers, how good has the ALDI Finds section been lately!? I swear that every time I browse that eclectic aisle, I walk away with something I never knew I needed. And the last few weeks I feel like ALDI finds have been especially good! I found a cute little drawstring/crossbody woven bag, something from a Disney find (you know, in case we make another bag). disney cruise or a trip to a Disney park), Fourth of July/Memorial Day decorations and some gardening supplies.
Plus, can I thank my mom enough for this adorable little stocking stuffer? he gave me this embroidered quarter keeper For my ALDI quarters and it’s one of those weirdly useful things that I keep in my purse so I don’t have to fumble around for a quarter. (For those who aren’t ALDI regulars, you use a quarter to unlock your shopping cart and you get your quarter back when you return your cart.)

The Love Haters By Katherine Center
Genre: Romance / My Rating: B
There was a lot I liked about this book – a look at a rescue swimmer’s job in the United States Coast Guard (probably my favorite part of the book), “the gals” (a group of retirees who live in a cottage complex in Key West), and the easy-read, intuitive nature of the book (exactly what I was looking for after reading it the previous day – yeesh). The Love Haters It wasn’t the best romance book I’ve read, but it was a fun, light-hearted escape novel that I enjoyed. It is the story of a woman named Katie, on a very reluctant journey of self-love, who finds herself on assignment to film a promo video for the Coast Guard. The tricky part? She doesn’t know how to swim and assures her boss that she knows how to swim because she needs the job to keep her job. Oh and she might have been filming rescue swimmers? Hutch is her coworker’s incredibly good-looking older brother, who has no idea she can’t swim.
