Jeans and white trainers go together like salt and pepper – they’re one of those styling combinations that never really goes out of style. Now, of course, how we wear them varies from season to season, and the hottest look of the pair has just arrived from Cannes, courtesy of model Poppy Delevingne.
Stepping out in a pair of long-line straight-leg jeans, Poppy turned to the denim silhouette that fashionistas are most favoring at the moment. Forget the cropped jeans that many of us instinctively love when the temperatures rise, or the barrel-leg styles that dominated last summer — this season, it’s all about comfortable, ’90s-inspired straight legs.
And while slim-sole trainers are still enjoying a major moment, Poppy took a more timeless, and arguably far more comfortable, approach, opting for a classic gum-soled white trainer to transport her straight from the airport to the glamor of the South of France.

To complete the look, she wore a striped knit, a leather jacket, and a rich cognac-toned shoulder bag. With her jeans slowly gathering over the top of her trainers, Poppy’s look was casual, discreet and perfect for the elegant atmosphere of Cannes.
