The American Cancer Society has released its first major update to colorectal cancer (CRC) screening guidelines since 2018, and there’s a lot to unpack. The update was prompted by two developments: the advent of new molecular-based screening tests that have received FDA regulatory approval, and continued worrying trends in CRC rates among young adults.
