For years, you’ve told us which brands are showing up for the plus size community. You enrolled. You voted. You made your voices heard loud and clear. And then life happened, the world changed, and we hit pause.
But here’s the thing about the plus size fashion industry in 2026: It does not Now start working without any accountability. The community is too informed, too powerful, and too tired of being ignored.
That’s why we brought back the TCF Readers’ Choice Awards. Not just because it felt like the right time, although it absolutely is the right time. We brought it back because you deserve a platform that reflects what you really think about the brands, creators, designers and retailers serving this space. And they deserve to know where they stand.
why this moment matters
The plus size fashion market is worth billions. The community that drives it is still fighting for basic representation, consistent sizes, and the kind of quality and style that is offered for free to straight-size buyers without a second thought.
We’ve seen brands launch plus size lines with tremendous fanfare and then quietly kill them. We’ve seen “size inclusive” used as a marketing phrase, with no actual size range to support it. We have seen the collection stopping at 2X and called it extended. We’ve seen the runways, the campaigns, and the editorial spreads, and we’ve seen who shows up and who doesn’t.
The TCF Readers’ Choice Awards exist to accomplish all of that. This is not a paid ranking. No brand sponsorships influence who is nominated or who wins. It’s a matter of community, plain and simple. Your nomination shapes the ballot. Your votes determine the winners. That is the whole point.
What are we asking you to do
Nominate the brands, people and retailers that have really earned your loyalty. Think about who has dressed you well, represented you with integrity and represented this community with more than just words.
This year we’ve got 25 categories, covering everything from your favorite plus size denim brands to plus size workwear brands finally getting professional dressing right, occasion wear brands showing up for your big moments, indie boutiques quietly doing incredible work, and the makers and designers who are shaping plus size fashion and what it feels like right now.
This is also the year we added a category that many of you were asking for: Brands We Want to See Do Better. Because maintaining room for progress means acknowledging where there are still shortcomings.
Why is your nomination an advocacy act?
When you nominate a brand, you are signaling to the entire industry what excellence in the field looks like. When an indie plus size designer is enrolled with a major retailer, it matters. When a brand known for stopping at 1X doesn’t make the list, it also counts.
The plus size fashion industry keeps an eye on what this community does. The TCF Readers’ Choice Awards has always been like a mirror to the market, showing where it stands with the people it claims to serve.
Your enrollment is a data point. One direction. A demand.
Here’s how to enroll
This is the first year we’ve opened nominations to the community, and that’s intentional. The plus size fashion landscape has changed, the conversation has intensified, and the people who actually shop, follow, and show up every day deserve a direct say in who gets their flowers. Ballot introduced for the first time in the history of TCF You.
Nominations are now open 15th June. This is the first step, and it is an important step. The brands, manufacturers, and retailers that make it onto the official ballot get there because the community put them there. If you want your favorite brands to win, you have to nominate them first.
Go to the nomination form, choose your categories and tell us who deserves recognition. You can enroll in as many categories as you want. The most nominated names advance to the official voting round, and this is where the real competition begins.
