The controversy began earlier this month, when screenshots of NSFW messages allegedly sent to the 26-year-old singer circulated on social media.
Referring to the alleged messages, the professional athlete read aloud, “Hey, baby, I’ll put your fart in a cologne bottle and spray it on me every day.” “Just kidding, I’m Shake. What’s your name, baby? And Sabrina says, ‘I know who you are. You’re very famous for sending messages like that.'”

The retired basketball star revealed that a photoshopped image of him was added to the AI-generated message.
Shakeel’s show guest, Jim Jones, then said that social media is a “dangerous place.”
To which, the NBA star responded, “Social media is a great way for you to gain business and market and promote your business.”
He said, “That’s what I use it for. Everyone has their own elaborate methods and plans for what they use social media platforms for. I use it for music, I use it for my content (and) I use it for whatever else I’m doing.”
