A man has been charged with allegedly selling his wife to 120 men for sex. A 62-year-old man is accused of exploiting his “vulnerable” wife by forcing her to have sex with men for money for three years.
The man, a former Hells Angel, has been accused of aggravated pimping as well as multiple rapes and assaults. He was arrested last October after his wife reported him to police in northern Sweden. He allegedly set up online advertisements to arrange sexual meetings where he would pressure his wife to “perform sexual acts and submit to him”. He is also accused of making the woman addicted to drugs, due to which she became vulnerable to molestation.
Prosecutors in Sweden described the man’s treatment of his wife as “brutal abuse.” Along with the aggravated pimping charge, the suspect has also been charged with eight rapes, four attempted rapes and four assaults between August 11, 2022, and October 21, 2025.
Prosecutor Ida Enerstedt said the woman, who is vulnerable, agreed to sell sex “to some extent.” However, she refused to have sex with certain people or in certain circumstances.
Enerstedt said: “He has certain boundaries. When he hasn’t respected them, when he’s harassed her after she’s said ‘no’, those are the situations when he’s accused of attempted rape or rape.”
Prosecutors have charged 26 people with buying sex related to the case. Investigation of the remaining people is going on.
Nina Larsson, Sweden’s gender equality minister, said on
“The government has tightened penalties for sexual crimes and increased efforts against prostitution and human trafficking; that work must continue, and I will return with an action plan this spring.
“Committing a sexual act is a serious crime in itself, but pimping is also closely related to other forms of serious crime.”
The suspect has denied the allegations. His trial is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 13.
