    TL;DR

    • Many owners of Pixel phones have reported that their phones are getting stuck in boot loop.
    • The issue reportedly follows the March Pixel drop, which came last month.
    • Although Google has acknowledged this problem, no solution has been found yet.

What do you do when you update your phone in hopes of getting access to new features and find that it’s stuck in a boot loop? Many Google Pixel users are facing the same conundrum after their phones kept rebooting since the March 2026 Pixel drop.

we have met many reports of various google pixel Phones are getting stuck in boot loop after upgrading to March 2026 update, also known as stable Android 16 QPR3. These reports span across multiple generations, from the Pixel 6 to the latest Pixel 10 series.

Users report slightly varying effects on their devices. For some, the phones refuse to turn on, and for others, they either keep booting back into recovery mode or show the initial boot screen with the Google logo. Some users also have a warning message on their phone screen stating that the “Android system” or data “may be corrupted.”

Some people, at least those whose devices boot into recovery, have the option to reset them to factory state. Doing so will cause users to lose their data, which may not be favorable.

This issue has also been reported to Google through the official points trackerAnd the active thread shows dozens of people reporting similar problems with their devices. However, there is no clear indication as to what specifically causes it or why it is only affecting a small number of Pixel users. Owners of the thread have also reported being able to boot into fastboot mode and sideload a recent firmware, but to no avail.

    Here’s something that might help

Interestingly, some users were able to boot their Pixel phone by booting it into Safe Mode while keeping it plugged in. Although this allowed them to take a backup, the phone soon reboots into a boot loop.

If you’re having the same problem, here’s a possible stopgap solution based on advice from some users:

    • Plug your phone into the charger and leave it aside for about 30-40 minutes.
    • After that, try to boot safe mode
    • To do this, press power button On your pixel.
    • Once the Google logo appears, press volume up And volume down buttons together until the boot animation appears.

Once the animation ends, your phone will enter Safe Mode, which will also be indicated by the logo at the bottom of the screen.

Hey, Google! What will happen next?

In the issue tracker thread linked above, Google notes that the issue has been shared with engineering teams, but there is no update on the fix yet. We have also written to Google and will update this post when we get a response.

Meanwhile, for at least one userThe March update has caused random crashes even though their phone is booting up fine. We are unsure whether this is an extension of the issue or something unrelated.
