Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been issued a stern warning over using their royal titles during their upcoming visit to Australia next week.
A royal expert has warned Meghan and Harry the royal family will be upset if they use their titles during their tour of Australia.
Ok! Royal expert Robert Jobson is quoted as saying, “I’m sure (Buckingham Palace) would prefer that Harry and Meghan are not going, but there’s not much they can do about it. They have no control.
“There will undoubtedly be confusion as to what Harry and Meghan are there for… the visit could be a thorn in the side of the palace.”
Other royal experts have also raised concerns about Meghan and Harry deploying their titles in a country where King Charles remains head of state.
Another expert believes that Meghan and Harry “crave for attention.”
Robert Hardman said the royal couple often blurred the boundaries when it came to their titles after stepping down from their monarchical roles in 2020.
He said, “It’s confusing. If they’re traveling as celebrities – which they are – then that’s fine, but if there’s a royal or official mechanism in place then that will invite criticism.”
The California-based royal couple are visiting Australia for the first time in nearly eight years, just days after Meghan announced she was pregnant with Archie.
