Prince Harry and Meghan Markle kept their trip to Australia a secret for various reasons.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who arrived Down Under this week, embarked on a successful four-day visit without Australians being aware of their arrival.
Speaking about their decision, expert Giselle Bastin, associate professor at Flinders University, says: “If they think everything has gone right, it’s because nothing has gone wrong.”
“They haven’t come to see them on big advertised occasions, at least not as walkouts, so they’ve managed to minimize the risk of people having a negative reaction, or hecklers calling them out or booing them or anything like that.
“It’s been very carefully controlled so that they appear spontaneously in places,” he said.
During the trip, Megan described herself as one of the most bullied people in the world.
