If you read my Find X9 Ultra review, you’ll know that I really like the phone. It has the best camera of any flagship right now, I really like the camera-centric design, and the big battery easily lasts two days. The software is also one of the best on Android, and ColorOS 16 has plenty of useful features.
One feature I enjoy using is Mind Space; It basically collects an assortment of data and makes it actionable. You press the dedicated key on the left to add an item to Mind Space, and then the feature takes advantage of AI to extract relevant information from that page. So if you’ve purchased movie tickets, you can save the details in Mind Space, and it will easily create a calendar event. I used this feature to automatically add an upcoming flight to my Google Calendar, and it’s great to use.

What is AI Bill Manager in ColorOS 16?
As the name suggests, AI Bill Manager lets you manage your finances with ease. You’ll need to enter individual transactions, but it’s not as difficult as other budgeting apps that ask you to log the amount, what type of transaction it is, etc. With this feature, you simply press the shortcut key on the left side of the phone on the order confirmation page, and it does the rest.
It uses AI to analyze the content of the mail or message and add details. Where it stands out is its ability to categorize expenses into categories, and I found this extremely useful. I purchased a pair of shoes this week, and I took a screenshot of the Adidas confirmation mail, and added the bill amount, tagged it under clothing, and even noted the type of shoe purchased (Ultraboost 5).
Basically, this feature gives you a good understanding of where your money is going, and it also has useful metrics. It shows how much you’ve spent in each category, total monthly spending, and you can see daily or weekly spending habits.
Another positive is that this feature doesn’t send any data to the cloud; It’s completely on-device, so you don’t have to worry about your details sitting on Oppo servers. While it’s debuting on the Find X9 Ultra, the feature will come to all other Oppo phones with the latest ColorOS 16.1 build.
How to set up and use AI Bill Manager
You don’t have to do much to use AI Bill Manager. Simply launch Mind Space and join the beta, and you can start adding transactions. This is how to do it:
- press twice shortcut key to pull up on the left mind space. If you haven’t set it up, you can do so by going to Settings snap key Menu.
- Within Mind Space, go to action menu (Three vertical dots on the right).
- choose settings.
- toggle beta version To But.
The AI bill manager is one of those features that makes sense. I’m using it because it’s completely on-device, and I like that it gives detailed metrics. It’s an easy way to see where I’m spending my money (it’s mostly shoes), and it’s an AI-related use case I can really embrace.
