Britain’s Prince Harry gave an interview with a UK broadcaster in Ukraine and insisted that despite their differences he will “always be part of the royal family.”
Harry arrived in Kiev for a surprise visit on Thursday, just days before his father King Charles III begins a state visit to the United States hosted by President Donald Trump.
Harry and his wife Meghan stepped down from frontline royal duties in 2020 after a rift with Harry’s family, including his brother Prince William, who is in line to become king.

He said, “I will always be a part of the royal family and I am here working and doing what I was born to do and I enjoy doing it.”
The term “working royal” is used to describe senior members of the royal family who perform official functions as representatives of the monarchy.
On Thursday, Harry urged the US to play a decisive role in ending the Russian invasion of Ukraine, saying, “This is a moment for American leadership.”
Responding to his comments, US President Donald Trump told reporters, “I know one thing, Prince Harry is not speaking for the UK, that’s for sure. I think I’m speaking for the UK more than Prince Harry.”
“But I appreciate his advice very much,” he said sarcastically.
