Queen Elizabeth II is praised for the fact that she did not let anyone know what was going on in her mind.
Her Majesty, who died in 2022, was labeled a shy woman who did not like much attention.
Speaking about the former monarch and her personality, royal expert Jenny Bond told the Mirror: “I remember the late Queen as quite a shy woman, who probably liked to be a farmer’s wife.”
“Her great skill was not allowing any of us to really know what she was thinking or feeling,” Bond shared. “I cherish the moments when I saw her a little alert, off-duty, for a moment. For example, when I saw her applying her lipstick without a mirror just before entering the main reception room of the palace.”
“I will never forget the huge crowd,” Bond reflected, “a million people gathered outside Buckingham Palace to celebrate the Golden, Diamond and then Platinum Jubilees.”
“It was an unforgettable sight and one that the Queen had never expected and always felt humbled by.”
