A BRIT couple arrested for the alleged attempted kidnapping of an elderly Spanish woman reportedly does not remember the incident because they were “so drunk”.
The middle-aged alleged snatchers were also accused of another kidnapping in January.
In the latest incident, the pair allegedly tried to grope a woman in broad daylight as she walked down the street in Palma, Majorca.
He was arrested near the scene about an hour after the incident, but apparently had little recollection of his alleged kidnapping attempt.
Britons said he had taken a large amount of drugs just hours before the suspected snatching, court sources said. Majorca Daily Bulletin.
Interviews at the time of their arrest confirmed that the pair were under the influence of drugs.

The pair will now remain behind bars until the investigation continues.
Local reports said he was also accused of being involved in a high-profile kidnapping in Palma in January.
The Britons were also detained for that suspected kidnapping.
Now a middle-aged couple have been accused of trying to pick up a 60-year-old Spanish woman in their car.
The victim reportedly began to struggle before throwing herself on the ground and screaming for help.
Local media said a British man approached the woman in the Son Ferriol area of the Majorcan capital at around 1pm on Sunday.
It is believed he tried to force the woman into his car, before witnesses rushed to her aid.
The woman’s husband was also among the people standing nearby who came forward to help.
They were able to stop the alleged kidnapping attempt and the British couple were arrested near the scene about an hour later.
The Spanish woman was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Despite local reports that the man grabbed the pensioner, a witness claimed it was the British woman – who was wearing pajamas – who tried to force the woman into the car.
Isabelle, the daughter of the woman who was targeted, told the island newspaper Chronica Balear: “She was waiting for me because we were going to see her niece at a competition.
“A white car pulled up next to her and the driver, who was wearing pajamas, and began aggressively trying to force her into the vehicle, yelling, ‘I’m telling you to get in.'”
Isabel said that her mother is 64 years old and has injury marks all over her body.
She added: “The man who was waiting inside the car decided to get out at that time and get his partner before they both ran away.
“When I reached, at first I was surprised that I did not see mother because she was always waiting for me at the same place.
“When I saw that such a big crowd had gathered, I got out of the car and saw my mother lying on the ground.”
