Sting discussed his “fairy-tale” life as well as his difficult beginnings.
Roxanne Singer described her childhood fear of working in a “hellscape” while promoting her new stage musical, the last ship.

He added, “It’s a hellscape, a hellish queue, a very dangerous job. I wanted to escape it. Every morning I saw thousands of people walking past my house to work and I thought, ‘Is this my destiny? Is this what I have to do?'”

“I tried everything I could to avoid it,” he shared, “so, I got a scholarship to a school and became a successful musician.”
“By the age of 25, I was a school teacher,” he recalled. “I had a mortgage. I paid taxes. I voted. I was a citizen. I didn’t just go from school to becoming a celebrity, which I think is very difficult, so I’m grateful for my normal life because it creates what I have now… It balances it out.”
