The cast of The Expendables 2 is mourning the death of Chuck Norris after his “sudden demise.”
The legendary martial artist and action actor made his last major film appearance in 2012 alongside stars like Sylvester Stallone, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren.
After Norris’ family announced his death, the costar took to his social media account and expressed his grief over the “Texas Ranger” actor’s passing.
Stallone posted a throwback photo with Norris from the film set on his Instagram account and wrote, “I had a great time working with Chuck. He was every bit the American. Great guy and my condolences to his wonderful family.”
Van Damme also expressed his sadness at his co-star’s passing, writing, “Deepest condolences on the passing of my friend Chuck Norris. We knew each other from the earliest days, and I always respected the person he was.”
While Lundgren called Norris “the champion” and posted an emotional tribute on his social media account.
He wrote, “Ever since I was a young martial artist and later got into films, I always looked up to him as a role model. A man who had the honor, humility and strength that are essential to being a man. We will miss you, my friend.”
It is noteworthy that Norris died on March 20.
