Amazon’s spring sale is right around the corner, but you can already take advantage of some great early bird deals. I’ve been testing portable projectors for a variety of use cases, but few, if any, come close to the complete package offered by the XGIMI MoGo 3 Pro. It’s a very favorite of mine, and right now, you can get it in a nice bundle with the XGIMI MoGo 3 Pro and the PowerBase stand (which you honestly need to get the most out of the device). $368.99, That’s $130 less than its price at launch in late 2024. According to this, this is the lowest price ever price-tracking tools.
The projector has two ports – one USB and one micro HDMI – so you can project from a laptop or phone, or you can screen mirror from your device via Google TV OS. Plus, since the projector is “smart,” it already comes with specific apps like Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon, and you can download more from the Google Play Store and control it with the remote. With 450 lumens and 1080p, it’s best used in dark rooms, but you can get away with some ambient light (I make good use of it in my backyard).
Where this projector really shines is with the auto keystone focus feature. If you move it anywhere, it will auto-correct the image to look its best, no matter where it is installed. It is user-friendly and designed to be installed quickly, without much hassle. It comes with a powerful 5W Harman Kardon speaker, which sounds great – like the equivalent of a speaker echo dot.
What do you think so far?
One caveat: This projector has no internal battery, which is a big bummer. You’ll need to use a portable charger, plugging it into an outlet, or, if you’re getting it in this bundle, powerbase standWhich can give 2.5 hours of battery life. (If you plan to use it mostly indoors, you can choose a projector only for $318.99.)
