Rose, the Blackpink star isn’t “completely comfortable” with her skin.
The 29-year-old star is completing a decade with the popular K-pop girl group this year and has also released successful solo material, but admits she still has to work on her confidence.
Rosé told CR Fashion Book: “I feel much more comfortable than I did in my early twenties, but I’m not quite there yet.”
“At 29, I haven’t completely mastered feeling comfortable in my own skin, but I’m definitely better at it than I was years ago,” ice cream Hitmaker added.
Asked if she felt confidence was something a person could always develop, Rose responded, “I don’t know if I’ve reached there yet. But it’s something I have to work on every day.”
The singer-songwriter noted, “Even when I feel very confident, my brain is constantly evolving and finding new challenges. It’s constant work. But I’m learning little tricks – little ways to understand how my brain works.”
Rose also expressed pride in the fact that BLACKPINK has spent a decade as a part of the music industry.
When asked if she was aware of the tremendous success her band had achieved, she replied, “I definitely am. Now I feel it in my bones. A few years ago, I would have said, ‘It’s been so many years already.’
Rose continued, “But now I really feel about that decade. We went through a lot. I’m grateful for those years.”
She added, “In the past, I would only focus on the performing, working version of myself and ignore others.”
Rose also specifically discussed her strong work ethic and how proud she is of it as it enables her to take advantage of many opportunities.
The Korean star said, “I’m proud of my work ethic. I don’t think I appreciate it enough because it feels so natural to me.”
“But I’m proud of it. It’s what drives me to do a lot of the work and I have fun doing it,” Rose concluded.
