The 33-year-old Egypt international confirmed the news via a video message on his social media account.
Salah said, “Unfortunately that day has come. This is the first part of my departure.” “I will leave Liverpool at the end of the season.
He said, “I never imagined how deeply this club, this city, these people would become part of my life. Liverpool is not just a football club, it is a passion, it is a history, it is a feeling.” “I can’t explain it in words to anyone who isn’t part of this club.
“We celebrated victories, we won the most important trophies, and we fought together through the hardest times of our lives.”
Signed from AS Roma in 2017, Salah established himself as one of the best players in the club’s history, leading Liverpool to two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the FA Cup and two League Cups, as well as the FA Community Shield.
He has scored 255 goals in 435 matches, making him the club’s third-highest goalscorer of all-time, while he has won the Premier League Golden Boot on four occasions.
