Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have confirmed they are producing a polo-themed drama for Netflix.
Royal expert Richard Palmer went to the former Twitter handle and shared a report on deadline To confirm Meghan and Harry’s comments.
“Harry and Meghan have confirmed a report that they are producing a polo-themed drama for Netflix,” he tweeted.
The royal expert added, “A spokesperson for the couple says more productions with Netflix and other streamers will be announced soon.”
Reports say the drama stems from Harry’s documentary Polo, which is based on the teams competing in the US Open Polo Championship held in Wellington, and the family dynasties involved.
Adding to this a passion project of Prince Harry, an avid polo player who has lots of friends in that world, the documentary didn’t attract much attention and ran for one season.
Earlier, Richard Palmer had claimed that Harry and Meghan are working on five projects with Netflix and other rival streamers and TV channels.
He tweeted on March 14, “No doubt they’ve faced some setbacks, but six years after their “freedom flight”, they’re making it work for them.”
Responding to the comments, Palmer added, “I’m very reluctant to be a cheerleader for anyone, but from what I’ve seen, I think they’re making good use of it. I’m on holiday so not completely engaged, but note that all parties deny most of the claims in the US showbiz hit piece.”
