Lana Nusseibeh, Minister of State at the UAE Foreign Ministry, said on Wednesday (March 25) that Iran has fired more than 2,200 missiles and drones at the UAE since the war began.
Nusseibeh told Fox News the number is higher than Israel and other Persian Gulf states because Iran views the UAE’s openness and prosperity as a threat.
“More than 60% of the attacks have been directed at the UAE. And this begs a fundamental question: why?” Ms Nusseibeh said.
He said, “We did not ask for war in our territory. We did not start the war.” He said Iran chose to fire the missiles rather than negotiate with Washington over its nuclear and missile programs.
“They have resources on three continents, but for their own people, there is inflation, their currency is falling rapidly, and they have killings of protesters. It is a brutal regime, and it is right to hold it accountable.”
