If Prince William had to choose between a beard and a moustache, he would choose the latter. Why? Because recently he himself has said so.
During his visit to the troops in Wiltshire, the future King spoke with soldiers of the 1st Battalion, The Mercian Regiment at Bulford.
In conversation with a young soldier, William hinted at a complete transformation of his beard – which he has been wearing since 2024 – by suggesting that he might ditch it and go for a full moustache.
The Prince of Wales said, rubbing his face, “Maybe I’ll drop off my luggage and leave a bag.”
William’s comments indicate he was influenced by the Mercian Regiment’s 1st Battalion sporting facial hair, which began following its deployment to Estonia last year, the Daily Mail reports.
The mustache trend follows that of the British Army, allowing soldiers to keep hair neatly groomed around the face.
However, playful gags about beards and mustaches not only had time, but also William Stitches. The mother of a soldier also walked away from him laughing.
Her name was Maxine Debonair. She told the prince that her son had barely seen her since his return from Estonia because he was actively dating.
The father of three responded, “I think we’ll get along very well.”
Jokes apart, William’s visit to the regiment also led him to witness training related to drone warfare.
Apart from this, he also inspected the state-of-the-art military technologies and presented medals to the soldiers.
Meanwhile, it remains to be seen whether William abandons his long beard style for a moustache.
