Ciaran, 23, made the explosive claims against him in a podcast appearance on Thursday, shortly after Sammy, 26, responded angrily, as the exes officially face off over the “truth” behind the split.
“Honestly, normally I’m pretty quiet about this, but staying quiet doesn’t help you and talking doesn’t help you,” she said in response to a fan in a video shared via Snapchat.
She added, “And I just want to say that a lot of what is being said is bullshit. There are three sides to every story, you have one side, the other side and then the truth baby.”
“When people say bullshit it clearly didn’t come out of your mouth, if you want to tell the truth, then tell it. Now leave me alone, I can’t bring myself to talk about it,” she concluded.
Sami then hinted at her possible sit-down when she reposted someone’s comment that read, “I think you should come on the pod and make your case because why are you always getting dragged.”
“Good idea,” the reality star wrote.
Meanwhile, most love island Fans are already on Ciaran’s side, who recalled that their relationship had become “one-sided” as “the messages started getting too distant” after dinners and meeting the families.
“After leaving the villa I went straight back to South Wales… Sammy went straight to London,” Ciaran said on the Not My Bag podcast, as he reflected on the events that unfolded after winning the All Stars last month.
“We talked every day, we were on FaceTime every night, the communication was great – we made plans to see each other a week later.”
The rugby player then revealed that he came to London to meet his co-stars, take Sami out to dinner and meet her family.
“I knew she was busy, she was going to New York. Then the messages started coming in a lot. I felt like the energy wasn’t matching,” he recalled, adding that she called him up just two days after his New York brand trip and that was the end of their relationship.
Ciaran insisted the split was not his doing, and he also addressed public speculation about a romance blossoming between Sammy and Essex-born semi-professional footballer Tyreek.
Ciaran said, “When we were seeing each other before New York he sent flowers to her house and I found out maybe a day or two before. How he got the address, I’ll never know. No, I’m just being made to look like a fool.”
“I also found out she unfollowed me the day before we broke up and the day after I posted about Sammi. It’s crazy how much you find out after that,” he concluded.
Insiders have told daily Mail Sammi may have been in touch with Tyreek long before he decided to try his luck again on the All Stars edition of the show and she split with Ciaran soon after winning the show and the huge cash prize.
Sammy, who is from Islington, north London, worked as a senior estate agent coordinator before the show, while Ciaran came from the rural town of Pencoed in south Wales. Cultural differences between them may have been a strong factor, even though during the show they appeared united in both ambition and affection.
The source said, “Sammi and Ciaran came off Love Island and almost immediately went to visit Wales. When they got there, Sammi decided Ciaran wasn’t for her because he came from a small town. She realized that their lives were very different.”
Tyric, of Chafford Hundred in Essex, meanwhile, was already part of Sammy’s social circle and shared his lifestyle. “She came back from Wales and went on a date with Tyreek,” the insider said.
Tyreek and Sammi’s source said, “The pair have been spending a lot of time together. They’ve even booked a trip in a few weeks to see if they’ll get along.”
