Lisa Kudrow has opened up about the enduring bond she shares with her husband Mitchell Stern.
Speaking to People Magazine, the Friends alum revealed the secret of her three-decade marriage.
According to Lisa the key to their lasting relationship is based on one principle: commitment.
“I think that’s all there is to it,” she said.
Adding further, “Mutual respect for the most part. But definitely wanting to be together and then relearning mutual respect, practicing mutual respect and listening.”
Lisa Kudrow and Michelle Stern first met in the late 1980s and tied the knot in 1995. The couple welcomed their son, Julian Murray Stern, who recently appeared with his mother on the latest season of The Comeback.
Lisa also revealed the moments on set when she couldn’t stop herself from getting into mom-mode. She said, “I was tired, and my mind was a little fuzzy, and I was seeing lines. I walked in and I saw Julian sitting on the couch with some other guys, ‘Oh,’ and just went over and got on the couch right next to him and hugged him.”
“And everybody walked over… and he went, ‘Hi, mom,’ and everybody was looking. Maybe it was inappropriate to pick on him. I think some people didn’t know he was my son. So they were still wondering, ‘What’s happening right now?’,” she continued.
