Keith Urban is said to be “in good spirits” after his split from Nicole Kidman, with fellow country star Russell Dickerson giving a rare insight into how he’s dealing with it.
speaking in I Heart Radio Music Awards, Russell revealed that he recently met up with Keith at the Country to Country concert and shared that the singer has been channeling his energy into his art following their “painful” divorce.
While she did not get a chance to spend “too much time” with him, Russell said that Keith “seemed to be in good spirits” despite their nearly two-decade marriage ending.
“He’s always been focused on the music, and so I think he’s just paying twice as much attention to that, and it’s beautiful,” she explained. Page Six. “I can’t wait to hear what comes out of this.”
Keith and Nicole separated in September 2025 and their divorce was finalized in January 2026. The former couple have two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15.
In the months since their split, Keith has maintained a largely low profile, focusing on his music and live performances, while Nicole has remained busy with her acting projects.

The rumors began when the two were spotted together at a New York City premiere, where they were reportedly seen holding hands. Addressing their on-screen dynamic, Nicole Kidman said that their chemistry “just vibrates”, while Simon said with a smile: “I don’t kiss and tell.”
As for Keith Urban, it appears that music remains his source of inspiration and strength, with Russell hinting that new creative outcomes may emerge in the coming months.
