Andrew Mountbatten is moving to his new life in Windsor Sandringham.
The former prince, who has been taken to Norfolk following his exile and told to abstain from riding, lies quietly.
A source told the Mail on Sunday: “The reality of (Andrew’s) radically changed situation was underlined when he took delivery a few days ago of a secondhand static caravan which was parked on bricks in his back garden, covered in moss.”
“Andrew uses it himself, would you believe it, and what’s even more shocking is that he loves it. He really is a changed man; he enjoys sitting in the caravan. It’s new to him,” he said.
An insider previously revealed: “Andrew was told everything had to be moved out (of the Royal Lodge) and nothing was to be left behind. He has not returned to collect anything… Everything has to be out by the weekend and we have been told that no trace of the former occupants or staff should remain.”
