The Batman is arguably the most anticipated film in the new DCU. To avoid confusion, the comic franchise features two Caped Crusaders, set in different universes.
The first is obviously portrayed by heartthrob Robert Pattinson under the direction of Matt Reeves.
But it has not been decided yet who will play the role of the second Batman in The Brave and the Bold.
However there are a few names in the mix for the lead role. From Alan Ritchson to Jonathan Bailey and Jensen Ackles.
However, no name has been confirmed yet.
Amid all this excitement, Andy Muschietti, who is set to direct the film, has dropped a reality bomb for DC fans who have been wildly speculating about the cast on the internet.
The director, who previously directed The Flash, told CinemaBlend that he’s always curious to know who fans want to play the bigger role.
But he added that the decision ultimately depends on him and the film’s producer, Barbara Muschietti.
“I love our people, love our audience, but at the end of the day, you know, I think the one thing we get to do is choose our artists.
On the other hand, James Gunn, who serves as the DC boss, also recently added fuel to the fire by suggesting that he has some favorites in mind to play the role of Batman.
“Do I have ideas about actors playing Batman?” He said, “Of course I do. I have people that I like. I have people that are at the top of the list, just like I had people that were at the top of the list for Superman.”
However, like Muschietti, he’s also not giving away spoilers. “People can guess, and maybe they’ll be right about some things.”
The Brave and the Bold is set to release in theaters in October 2027 and this time Batman won’t be alone. Instead, he will be teaming up with his son Damian Wayne, also known as Robin.
