Lisa Kudrow says she finds comfort in re-watching her hit TV series Friend Following the tragic death of Matthew Perry.
The 62-year-old actress, who starred alongside Matthew in the popular sitcom, revealed that she watches reruns of the series to honor the late actor’s life.
“After Matthew passed away, there were marathons (on TV) and it was really comforting to watch the shows,” she said during an event. Capital FM.
“Also just because it makes me laugh, and he was there, and he was so funny. I mean, the funniest. Sorry everyone else, but yes, absolutely perfect,” Lisa continued.
The Emmy-winning actress continued, “So I thought, ‘Okay, now I need to — why don’t I see what this show is about,’ you know? ‘Cause I didn’t watch every episode when we were shooting,” she continued. “I had a kid and I don’t know, we just didn’t have any.”
When asked if rewatching the sitcom surprised him in any way.
To which, Lisa responded, “No, that’s great, because when I watch parts of it or something, and look at myself, I’ll be like, depending on my mood, ‘Uh, come on, just stop it. Why did you do that?'”
“And now I can just say, ‘Okay, I can forgive you for that.’ And also, ‘Oh! He is funny. Yes, he’s a funny character, but everyone is making me laugh,” she added.
It is noteworthy here that Mathew was found unconscious in his Los Angeles home in 2023 after battling drug addiction.
