Sofia Culpo has shared a rare dating advice following her breakup with Braxton Barrios and Michael Stevens.
In a new interview with People magazine, the 29-year-old social media star said she has “learned a lot over the years” about keeping her relationships safe in the public eye.
“I think keeping what’s private and what’s very special to you private is the best thing for you and your relationships,” Sophia explained, “but we all live and learn, and we’re all doing the best we can.”
Olivia Culpo’s sister further told the publication that it’s also important to “have a sense of humor.”
“Being a little cheeky with it,” Sophia said. “You also have to stand up for yourself.”
For those who don’t know, Sofia and Braxton dated for two years before splitting in early 2023. The 30-year-old professional footballer went on a date with Alix Earl after his breakup with Sofia.
On October 31, 2023, Sofia shared photos of herself and Michael on Instagram, both wearing matching Halloween costumes.
They made their relationship public in February 2024, making their red carpet debut as a couple at the People’s Choice Awards.
This relationship ended in October 2025 after being together for two years.
A representative for Sofia said at the time, “The breakup was healthy, and they remain on good terms.”
The spokesperson said, “Although this chapter is closed, Sofia is embracing the single life until the right person comes along and she is excited for the future.”
