Jamie Lee Curtis is celebrating five decades in the entertainment world.
On Monday, March 31, the Freaky Friday star took to her Instagram account to celebrate nearly 50 years of acting.
But the Oscar-winning actress revealed that she had never thought of becoming an actress but a “cop”.
Expressing happiness over her milestone, she posted an old photo of herself showing off one of her early onscreen roles as a waitress in the 1977 episode Colombo.
And to compare to her new version, she shared a recent photo wearing a black top, gold jewelry, which showed off her pixie cut golden locks.
She wrote in the caption, “Next year I will be an actress for 50 years.”
Curtis recalled, “I was never going to be an actor. I thought I’d be a policeman.
“When I was a contract player at Universal Pictures and now I’m a producer, HBIC (Head Bitch in Charge), a co-star with Nicole Kidman, and collaborator on #scarpetta @primevideo @nowscreamingpv @blumhouse @comet.pictures @blosomfilms, I was telling the story on set of one of my early jobs as an unnamed waitress on a Columbo episode.”
He added, “There was no future tripping. It was just each job, one job at a time, being grateful for any opportunities and patience. A lot of patience.”
