Buckingham Palace shared photos of an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, where King Charles and his sister Princess Anne honored individuals recognized for their contributions to public life, charity and the arts.
Photos posted on the royal family’s social media accounts showed King Charles and the Princess Royal presenting the honors to the recipients.
Among those recognized was actor Carey Mulligan, who was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to drama. Jeffrey Edwards received an OBE for supporting disaster survivors and the community in Aberfan.
Catherine Staples was awarded an MBE for promoting sport and fitness, while Hilary McGrady, director general of the National Trust, received a CBE for services to heritage.
Louise Fettigan and Valerie Lolomari were also awarded MBEs in recognition of the contributions of young people and their efforts to prevent violence against women and girls.
