This is the incredible moment a windsurfer narrowly escaped collision with a giant whale off San Francisco.
Eric Kramer was peacefully gliding along the water at Crissy Field when a giant whale slammed right beside him – and threw the surfer into the waves.
He completely lost control of the board and fell into the waves right next to the gray whale.
The surfer joked on social media after the incident, “It was a “whale” of a day…”
But more seriously he added: “Please be vigilant and respect the wildlife”.
He had seen whales in the area before moving, and had “reduced his speed” to avoid them, but, according to his post, the whale “came right in front of me”.
“Glad we’re both OK,” he said, referring to the whale, which was not injured by the dramatic collision.
However, some commentators criticized the windsurfer’s stupidity.
One asked, “I mean if you saw them there, why did you decide to go sailing anyway.”
“Hmm- what happened to keeping 300 feet away from marine mammals?” The other one called out.
This is what happened when a couple on holiday found a poisonous snake crawling on their bed during the night.
The two were woken up by a cobra at 5am when the cobra was found near their heads in their hotel room in Thailand.
One ran away screaming from the reptile, while the other remained in bed, believing it was a nightmare.
Luckily a reptile catcher quickly arrived at the scene and armed with two phone torches, managed to catch the timid snake by its tail while its hood was open.
