Courtney Love gushed over her “really good friend” Lana Del Rey, who let her live in her house “rent-free” for a year.
The hole front woman made this comment fantastic other Podcast hosted by Billy Corgan, where he spoke passionately about the singer.
Love and Del Rey had previously toured together, with Love supporting Del Rey endless Summer Show in 2015.
“I’m friendly with Lana Del Rey,” she told the Smashing Pumpkins front man.
“Actually, I’d call us really good friends, and he let me live in his house in Malibu for a year rent-free — like what the fuck?” Love appeared.
The widow of Nirvana front man, Kurt Cobain, continued to say that Del Rey “was really great at helping me get out of town because I needed to get out of life. She’s also got this upper-middle class thing, so she could play the people who were really hurting my life.”
Ultimately, Love said that Del Rey was “a fantastic girl and a true friend,” adding: “She has done things for me that no one in our business has done, especially no other woman.”
Del Rey also hasn’t held back in praising Love, as she points out NME In 2015 the two had “some things in common that might not be visible from the outside.”
Courtney Love then returned the favor by praising Del Rey again, calling her equal to her husband in musical skill.
When the pair gave an interview together to Dazed in 2017, they shared their favorite Del Rey song blue jeans.
Then, Courtney Love said that Lana Del Rey and former partner Kurt Cobain were the only “true musical geniuses” she has ever known, explaining: “By that I mean they can do anything Spielberg does.”
