Marks & Spencer’s retail boss has warned that crime is becoming “more brazen, more organized and more aggressive” after a week plagued by anti-social behaviour.
Retail director Thinas Kyiv took aim at the government and London Mayor Sadiq Khan In a letter posted on the supermarket’s website on Thursday.
“Without a government that seriously cracks down on crime and a mayor who prioritizes effective policing, we are powerless,” he said.

“Give them the resources they need to tackle crime effectively, and make sure they work with retailers to share data and proactively use the tools we have developed to proactively target criminals.”
He also questioned claims that crime rates were falling in the capital.
He said, “I keep hearing that crime is going down, especially in India London – something that none of us believe in, and very few people working in retail will see.”
