Noah Schnapp, who publicly came out as gay in January 2023, recently sparked curiosity after posting about his “one month anniversary” with an unidentified man on Instagram.
It was only after teasing his fans that he made the big reveal that it was actually an April Fool’s joke.
She first shared a photo of the two of them arm-in-arm with the caption, “Our one month.” The very next day, he clarified things with a simple “April Fool” on his story on Instagram.
Jokes aside, Noah has opened up about how playing Will Byers, who is also a gay character, helped him understand himself better. He said that seeing how the audience embraced the character made him feel comfortable with himself not only physically but also as a person.
The 21-year-old admitted that she often felt like the “weird kid” growing up, but that experience and playing Will helped her accept and embrace herself and learn that it’s okay to be different.

Then, after coming out publicly on TikTok, he was overwhelmed with support as he received “thousands of messages of hearts and congratulations and rainbow flags”.
