The Vancouver Canucks have recalled forward Ty Muller from their AHL affiliate, the Abbotsford Canucks, as the team looks to evaluate the young talent at the end of the season.
General manager Patrick Allwine announced the move with nine games remaining in the NHL campaign.
The 22-year-old recorded 16 goals and 19 assists for 35 points in 59 games, ranking second in scoring in Abbotsford behind Nils Amann.
His role has steadily increased since his rookie season, where he posted 39 points in 64 games and was named the team’s representative at the 2025 AHL All-Star Game.
Coaches have relied on him in all situations, including power play and penalty kill duties.
Muller also played a key role in Abbotsford’s Calder Cup win, recording 12 points in 24 playoff games.
The Edmonton native has limited NHL experience so far, appearing in two games last season and is still searching for his first points at that level.
The move signals a shift towards development as the club prepares for the future.
