Luka Doncic was forced to leave the Los Angeles Lakers game against the Oklahoma City Thunder early with a left hamstring strain in OKC’s 139-96 loss.
According to ESPN, Doncic will undergo an MRI on Friday to assess the severity of the injury.
The Lakers star first hurt his hamstring late in the first half, but aggravated it midway through the third quarter.
He was seen writhing in pain and later lying on the baseline before leaving the court with 7:39 remaining in the third quarter.
Despite the discomfort, he was able to walk to the locker room on his own.
Doncic finished with 12 points, four rebounds and seven assists, but struggled overall, shooting 3 of 10 from the field and committing six turnovers.
The injury led to a tough night for the Lakers, who fell by 25 points in Doncic’s time on the court.
Meanwhile, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with a strong performance, recording 28 points, seven rebounds and seven assists through three quarters.
The loss comes after a strong March for Los Angeles, where Doncic was named Western Conference Player of the Month.
