Elijah Wood looks back on his early acting days.
The 45-year-old actor recently appeared on the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast to promote his new project, ‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come’.
During the conversation, Woods recalled playing the eight-year-old girl in Paula Abdul’s 1989 music video for her song ‘Forever Your Girl’.
Woods said, “It was a really enjoyable experience. You know, all of us kids were tasked with being adults.”
“It was like they were recreating the Robert Palmer videos with little kids. And then I don’t know where my concept came from, but I was kind of an executive in an office, like, heartbroken, breaking a pencil, you know, with a lot of anger, running your hands through your hair, looking out a window. And (Fincher) was really clear with his direction.”
However, Woods admitted, “Honestly, I don’t remember much about it. It was just that it was a fun experience. And I remember meeting Paula Abdul.”
He described the meeting with Abdul as “wonderful”.
Wood said, “She was a huge singer at the time. You know, that album was huge. And so I definitely knew who she was, and it was very exciting.”
