Nick Jonas is remembering his late friend Maya Kibell on her 31st birthday.
Taking to his Instagram account on Friday, the 33-year-old singer paid an emotional tribute to his second mother’s late sister.
Sharing an old picture from his childhood, Nick wrote, “Today I used my phone to call you several times, because this has been your day for as long as I can remember. Your birthday – 3rd April is stuck in my memories.”
One who sucks The hitmaker added, “I will always cherish the time God gave us together. Please rest in peace in heaven now and blow out your candles with the angels.”
Nick said, “You are my sister and always will be. I miss you so much. Happy birthday Maya.”
For those unaware, Nick’s childhood friend Maya passed away on March 7 when her heart and lungs stopped functioning.
Maya’s mother Kiyoko Kibel announced the heartbreaking news on social media.
Maya’s mother said, “She fought hard, but her body gave out. At the beginning of 3/7, she collapsed and her heart and lungs stopped working. It was too late and she died in the ER.”
At that time Nick had written that he is always present for him.
“My sister forever. @coach_kibbel is always here for you,” wrote Jumanji actor.
