Cameron Diaz and Keanu Reeves are back on screen together after three decades.
The longtime stars are reuniting in the upcoming Outcome, their first film since the 1996 film Feeling Minnesota.
While promoting the project, Diaz shared a humorous moment that Reeves had completely forgotten the special handshake the two once shared.
talking with people magazineThe actress said, “Well, I was actually surprised that Keanu didn’t remember the special handshake we did.”
“We would just have a whole thing where we were like – high five, down low and then like a couple kicks in the legs, you know?” He added.
Diaz revealed, “I was just so surprised you didn’t remember that 30 years later, Keanu. But we freshened up and said, we have a totally different thing. We are, we are, we’re back at it. Yeah, we’re back at it. So we’re good, we’re good.”
Reeves, on the other hand, told the outlet that reuniting with Diaz was “wonderful.”
Recalling the time when filmmaker Jonah Hill reached out to him, Reeves said he felt “honored”.
“I got this (invitation) that said ‘Jonah would like to meet you,’ and I said ‘Wherever he wants.’ She said, ‘You want to come to my house?’ I said, ‘Sure, let’s go.’ So I went there, rode a bike, went to the beach, hung out, and he shared what was going on, and I was like, ‘Wow,'” the actor said.
Apart from Cameron Diaz and Keanu Reeves, Outcome also stars Matt Bomer, releasing on April 10.
