Gunfire was reported amid armed clashes outside the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul, Turkey on Tuesday.
Turkish media said that two police officers were injured and three people were “neutralized”. Türkiye’s Justice Minister has confirmed that an investigation has been launched following the shooting near the Israeli Consulate.
CNN Turk said the Istanbul governor confirmed that one attacker was killed, and two others were wounded and captured. Türkiye’s interior minister said one of the attackers “belongs to an organization that exploits religion”.
