The offset shooting incident has taken a new turn as rapper Lil Tjay – who is accused by some of targeting Offset – has been arrested by police.
Police shared details of his arrest, saying they were arrested moments before the former Migos rap star was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
In a mugshot released by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, the Bronx rapper flashes a smile after he was convicted of misdemeanor disorderly conduct-fighting.
How much was Lil TJ involved in offset’s shooting?
“Ever since Offset was shot late Monday night, TJ’s name has been coming up in online conversations in connection with the incident.”
There is speculation that the two rappers’ crews were fighting when the shots were fired.
DJ Akademiks and internet celebrity Sadie Nash fueled such rumors on the internet. However, Taje’s camp vehemently denied this.
The 24-year-old’s attorney, Don M. Florioa, said in a statement on social media that rumors of his involvement in Offset’s shooting are unfounded.
“We are issuing this release in connection with false rumors that Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting… which resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to Offset, formerly a member of Migos.”
The lawyer says Jai was not armed; Neither was he shot nor has he been accused of shooting Offset.
“Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been accused of any shooting. Any reports to the contrary are false,” the statement read.
They concluded, “We encourage people to consult reliable news sources and verify the accuracy of any reporting before sharing or repeating baseless rumors.”
Dispute between Offset and Lil TJ over $10,000.
While TJ’s lawyer flatly denies that he didn’t pull the trigger, there’s no question about the beef between them.
This had been going on for several months, after which Offset allegedly refused to pay the amount, which TJ said he paid him was $10,000 when he ran out of cash and in 2025 he asked strangers for money.
The feud got so bad that the influential rapper challenged the Bronx rap star to a livestream fight. However, this match, which was scheduled to take place earlier this year, never took place.
Meanwhile, Offset is reportedly recovering from his gunshot wounds and is reported to be in stable condition.
