Xiaomi President Lu Weibing has just confirmed on Weibo that Redmi is launching the K90 Max later this month. This could be a renaming of the highly anticipated K90 Ultra, or could be a new device altogether, it’s unclear at this point.
However, it is clear that the K90 Max will come with an active cooling fan with a larger diameter than competitors’ solutions. The air intake volume can reach 0.42cfm, which, according to Lu, is 30% higher than competing devices. And it achieves all this with the lowest noise of the three speeds at 32dB.
It can drop the temperature by 100 degrees in 10 seconds at its highest setting. The Redmi K90 Max, despite having this fan, will come with IP66/68/69 certification for dust and water-resistance. You can already reserve the K90 Max in China for just CNY 9.9 ($1.44) to get a mystery gift package worth CNY 3,600 ($523) when the phone launches.
More details about this phone will undoubtedly be released in the coming days, so stay tuned.
