Pakistan is desperately trying to push through a final peace deal between the US and Iran as the deadline for Trump’s massive bombing campaign approaches.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said diplomatic efforts were underway for a “peaceful solution” to stop Dawn’s plan to force the regime to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

The Islamic leader has urged Trump to extend his deadline by two weeks so that diplomacy can do its work.
“Diplomatic efforts for a peaceful resolution of the ongoing war in the Middle East are moving forward steadily, strongly and powerfully and are likely to yield concrete results in the near future,” he wrote on
“Pakistan, in all sincerity, requests the Iranian brothers to open the Strait of Hormuz for the same period of two weeks as a goodwill gesture.
“We urge all warring parties to observe a two-week ceasefire everywhere to allow diplomacy to lead to a decisive end to the war, in the interest of long-term peace and stability in the region.”
